Surfing is huge!
It presents a huge opportunity to assist local communities and provide vital information to better understand and protect our oceans.
What we do
Surfer Scientists transforms surfers into ocean leaders. Across low- and middle-income countries, this grassroots movement empowers youth, women, and marginalized groups to use affordable tech to map and monitor surf breaks, turning their passion into data for ocean health.
Sustainable management of marine resources, protection of ecosystems, and the creation of educational and economic opportunities for communiteis.
Data collected informs local decisions and contributes to global initiatives, such as the United Nations' efforts to safeguard our oceans.
